Magic Oranges

We have a couple of orange trees at our new house. Having always lived in a cold-winter climate until recently, it seems magical to see citrus fruit growing on trees in the neighborhood, especially at my own house! Jacob and I picked several oranges off of our trees. They are very sweet and juicy!
Another fun surprise is the wonderful fragrance that fills the air at orange blossom time. When we walked around our yard-to-be, a few days before we moved in, I asked Anthony, "What is that wonderful smell?" He didn't know either. It was still there when we moved in, and we soon found out it was the orange blossoms! There are many orange trees in our neighborhood, and the scent is heavenly! I don't know how long the trees will be in bloom; it has been 24 days since we first smelled them and they are still covered in fragrant blossoms. It's delicious. Aren't Heavenly Father's creations awesome?!

Orange blossoms always remind me of Victorian weddings. Didn't brides used to wear orange blossoms in thier hair? You are lucky to be surrounded by such quaint flowers.

Oops! That last comment was by me, Holly. I forgot to check who I was posting as. Jacob doesn't often talk about the quaintness of orange blossoms.
